'Oxblood’ used scans of original copies of the police transcript of the events of an attack on the Zionskirche in Berlin by right-wing extremists in October 17th 1987 as the basis for a 5 piece visual work. The printed and framed transcript pages were spattered with ‘Oxblood’ floor paint, a type of paint commonly used in the former East Germany to cover over worn or damaged floor boards in order to hide and protect them.

The piece was presented as part of an event commemorating the attacks within the Zionskirche church on October 10th 2025.

The spattered paint offers stark reference to the violent events of the incident whilst symbolising institutional attempts to cover-up state hypocrisy and veil the facilitation and support of hateful and divisive ideologies.

'Fascism/No God' is a sound-work comprising of a compound cover version, played on electric guitar, of two songs from the bands Element of Crime and Die Firma who played at the concert on the night of the attack on the Zionskirche in October 1987. The piece is played on DDR era Geitan loudspeakers.
