In the case of elements in structured systems structural properties are properties that express information about the role of the elements in the overall structure of the system. Those properties can be considered fundamental in understanding the trajectory of human history on both an individual and general level.

11 Gates utilises and interprets sonic information as a representation of these properties in concrete and abstracted form.

The work 11 Gates explores the sonic topologies of a diverse range of materials using recorded and extensively processed sound-objects to convey a hauntological perspective on the post-industrial experience and the mnemonic markers which define that experience.
